Wayne M. Adams, a Yale resident, passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2012 in his home at the age of 85 years.

Graveside services have been entrusted to the care of the Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Yale and will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 28, 2012 in the Gracehill Cemetery, Perry, OK with Mike Baker officiating.

The son of the late Howard M. Adams and Floy Fern (Stephens) Adams, Wayne was born on August 26, 1927 in Hutton Valley, MO. His family moved to Oklahoma where he attended Perry school system. He later entered into the United States Army in 1945. While serving in the Army, Wayne was united in marriage to Lorna Dee Davis on February 26, 1946. He was then deployed where he served in Hawaii and later received his honorable discharge in 1947.

Wayne worked his entire career in the oil industry and following his retirement he farmed and raised cattle. Wayne enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He also loved the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Denver Broncos.

Survivors include three daughters and their husbands; grandchildren and their spouses; eight grandchildren; one sister-in-law; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his first wife, Lorna Dee; second wife, Josephine Rose; one son, Leo Wayne Adams; and seven siblings, Lois Robison Speakman, John Robison, Treava Robison Loveless, Velma Robison Kildow, Cecil Robison, Ada Robison, and Esther Adams VaNoy.

The Adams family requests that in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be made to the Susan G. Koman Foundation in Wayne's first wife's name, Lorna Dee Adams.
