Emmie F. Gerberich

Emmie F. (Skimmy) Gerberick (sic), 55, of 739 Virginia Ave., died at Washington County Hospital Monday evening [Dec. 19, 1977].

She was born in Hagerstown, the daughter of Noah and Emmie Plunkert Hines.

She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Hagerstown Chapter No. 89 O.E.S., the Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Police, the Ladies Auxiliary Dixon Troxell Post No. 211, and the National Travel Club. She was a past secretary and member of the Ladies Democratic Club of Williamsport. She had been employed for 31 years at E.J. Fennel Co. and was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union.

She is survived by her husband, Norman W. Gerberich; a daughter, Mrs. Norma J. Benner of Hagerstown; sons, Terry L. Gerberich and David W. Gerberich, both of Hagerstown; sisters, Mrs. Louise Bailey, Mrs. Peal Long and Mrs. Dolores Rogers, all of Hagerstown, and Mrs. Francis Keyser of Baltimore and Mrs. Isabel Barnhart of Cozytown; brothers, James Hines, Noah Hines and Eugene Hines, all of Hagerstown; and seven grandchildren.

Services will be held at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Blvd. on Thursday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Charles B. Weber will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 7 to 9.
