Home For Funerals - Dec 26, 2012

Funeral services for Frances Carrico, 91, of Norfolk, will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 28, 2012, at the Home for Funerals. Reverend Tim DeFor will officiate and burial will be in the Union Cemetery at Battle Creek. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Carrico died December 22, 2012, at the Countryside Home in Madison.

Frances was born on January 12, 1921, in Randolph, NE, the daughter of Henry and Elizabeth (Druhe) Moeller.

On August 16, 1942, Frances married Frank Carrico in Hartington. They lived in South Sioux City before moving to Norfolk in 1960.

Frances was employed at the Norfolk Regional Center in the Purchasing Department for many years. She retired in 1985.

She was a member of First Christian Church. She was active in the VFW Post 1644 Auxiliary, the American Legion Post 16 Auxiliary. Frances was a past member of the Sweet Adelines. She was also a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and the Norfolk Veteran's Home.

Frances had a life-long love for horses and belonged to several saddle clubs.

Frances is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1977, two brothers, two sisters, a niece and a nephew, step-daughter, Evonne Vyhlidal, as well as her special friend, Bill Butterfield.
