He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War; he was stationed in Germany.
He worked in engineering management for various computer and medical device compaines. After retirement he entered the real estate field and sold properties in the Manchester area.
He enjoyed gold, reading and vacations in the Caribbean with his wife and their friends Jim and Pat Campbell.
He is survived by his wife Janice (Guyette) Cook of Bedford; son Jeffrey Sargent of Ascutney, VT; two grandchildred, Jessica Brown and Timmy Sargent, both of Ascutney; two great-grandchildren, Abigail and Benjamin Brown; siblings, Sam Cook of New Ipswich, NH, Irena Pariala of New Ipswich, David Cook of Canaan, NH, Bill Cook of Norwich, VT, and Lois Hutchin of Lyme, NH; he was predeceased by his brother Chester Cook.
There is a memorial service at the Phaneuf Funeral Home in Manchester on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012 at 2 p.m. Burial is at the Ascutneyville Cemetery, Ascutney, VT at a later date. Donations in his memory can be made to American Heart Assn, 2 Wall St., Manchester, NH 03101.
