Mrs. John M. King, died at the family home in this city Tuesday, Jan. 11, age 54 years, 2 months and 10 days.
Deceased was the mother of nine children, eight living and all of them were present at the bedside when the mother expired. Mrs. King was the wife of John M. King, a highly respected and well known pioneer citizen of Maud.
She was a good wife, a loving mother and a true Christian, joining the M. E. Church in the year of 1875.
Burial services were held at the Cummings cemetery, conducted by the Ladies' Circle, W. O. W. and Boys of Woodcraft, Wednesday afternoon.
