SEYMOUR H. WILKINS
Funeral arrangements are pending at the Brewster Funeral Home in Manchester Center for Seymour H. Wilkins, 88, who died Friday at the Eden Park Nursing Home in Rutland after a long illness.
Born Aug 8, 1888 in East Dorset to Earl and Ida Tifft Wilkins, he was a life-long resident of the area.
He was married to the former Zora Blackmer, who died in 1964. Mr. Wilkins worked for many years as a milk inspector for the Bennington County Cooperative Creamery Association. In his later years he worked for the Equinox House in Manchester.
Survivors are two half sisters, Wavey Turner of Torrington, Conn. and Flora Couch of Bennington.
*****NOTE - I used the birthdate on his Social Security Death Index Record - his birthdate is different on almost all records. I have copied this obituary as it was in the paper. His wife Zora Blackmer actually died in 1962.
