Mrs. Elizabeth A. Meredith, 90 years old, 416 North Wall Avenue, died about noon Thursday in her home. She was the widow of Dr. Clarence D. Meredith, a widely known Joplin veterinarian, who died in 1939.

Dr. and Mrs. Meredith were married in 1894 in the state of Oklahoma when it was Indian Territory. They came to Joplin in 1905. She was a native of Moberly, MO.

Mrs. Meredith was active in First Methodist church here, where she taught a Sunday school class for many years. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Surviving were two sons, H. Carl Meridith, 416 North Moffet Avenue and Dr. C. Paul Meredith of Pasadena, CA; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services were held Saturday afternoon in the First Methodist Church, with the Rev. Kenneth Johnston officiating. Burial to be in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Mason Chapel.

Pallbearers were F. M. Lawless, Marion Norton, Bethel Johnson, J. E. Lichlyter, Frank Smith and Floyd Bumgarner.
