Services were held today at 2 p.m. at the graveside in West View Cemetery for Mrs. Freida Frichtel Klemons (1897-1957), 60, who died in a hospital in Ormond Beach Saturday night. The Rev. W. F. Oddy, pastor of Hillcrest Baptist Church officiated and Edgar Johnson-W. Carl Davis & Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Klemons was a resident of Hawthorne for 12 years before moving to Ormond Beach about six months ago.
Survivors include her husband, Leo; three sons, Leonard Hubert, Ormond Beach, Frank, Detroit, and Amos, Hawthorne; a sister, Mrs. Elsie Schoenrock, Detroit; brother, Albert Hines, Buffalo, N.Y., and nine grandchildren. (Palatka Daily News Obituary dtd Monday, 30 Sep 1957.)
