Mary Lee Tinder, 81, of Willis, Texas, passed from this life to the next Sunday (Dec. 16, 2012) after suffering from a brief illness in the hospital.
Mary Lee was born in Mt. Harmony, W.Va., on Feb. 8, 1931, to Worth and Ruby DeVault.
She met and married Robert S. Tinder, also of Mt. Harmony. They were married for more than 50 years until he preceded her in death in 2004.
She was a homemaker and mother of two. She enjoyed fishing, cooking and spending time with her children and grandchildren and with numerous friends and neighbors.
Mary Lee is survived by her sister, Aileen Fraker and husband Bill, and niece, Pamela Fraker.
Mary Lee also is survived by her daughter, Roberta Elmore and husband Neal of Coldspring, Texas. and son, Ron W. Tinder and wife Benita of Willis, Texas. She also is survived by granddaughters, Melanie Parker-Smalley and husband Dave of The Woodlands, and Jennifer Dowdy and husband Jason of Cibolo, Texas; grandson, Wesley Elmore and wife Sonia of San Diego, Calif.; great-grandsons, Cory Parker, Joshua Dowdy and Robert (Bobby) Elmore; and great-granddaughter, Addyson Dowdy. She will be missed by her family and friends.
