12 children; Benjamin, Montraville, Charles Moore, James Kent, George Lewelling, Marietta S., Albert, Ambrose Brookmire, Enos Danio, John Rufus, Rowena, and Stephen Tanner were born to Benjamin and Ruth Tanner Corey. Benjamin was the son of Joseph and Prudence Parks Corey. Ruth was the daughter of the Rev John Tanner of RI, with the 7th Day Adventist Church.
The Corey's trek started from Allegany Co NY to Crawford Co PA then the long trek to Dodge Co WI. Montraville was a Lumberman and later a Miller.
Abt 1850 he married Britannia McLaughlin b abt 1827 York State, daughter of Elijah & Diana ? McLaughlin. Their marriage was blessed with daughters, Ida Luella and Jessie A. Ida married Victor A. Alderson, living out her life in Wausau WI.
After Montraville's death Britanna remained unmarried.
