Rosemary C. Ward, age 76 of rural Leavenworth, KS. Passed away on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012 at her home. The family will receive friends at a visitation starting at 9:00 a.m. Friday Dec. 28 at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home with the Funeral Service starting at 10:30 a.m., burial will follow in the West Liberty Cemetery near Fulton, KS. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Gideons International or the West Liberty United Methodist Church both in care of the funeral home.

Rosemary was born on August 21, 1936 in Fulton, KS. She was a kind and generous person, always giving of herself. She worked at General Electric Company for over 30 years, including her position as regional marketing director. Rosemary devoted her life to her family and friends, and everyone she met was touched by her love and better for it. She relished the life of being a preacher's wife, and devoted her life doing the Lord's work, including her dedicated membership at Maywood Community Church. After retiring, she served many years at Mission West RV Park, assisting many retires with social and Church related activities. She was loved by many and will be missed by all. God has another beautiful angel brightly watching over us forever more. Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Hazel Clendening, her brothers Bill, Cecil, Frank and John, her sister Dorothy, her husband Robert Burris, and her husband Robert Rehm. Survivors include her husband Rev. Vic Ward, sons Gene Brown, Jeff Brown, and James Burris, daughters Janice Lindberg (Butch) and Toni Saunders (Gary), step sons Wayne Ward and Tom Ward (Theresa) and step-daughters DeeDee Charles (Tom) and Tammy Long (John), 17 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters Katie and Ellie, and many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
