William Porter Pridgen Jr., 84, died Dec. 24, 2012, at a nursing home in Stuart.
He was born in Tampa, and lived in Stuart for 33 years, coming from Fort Lauderdale.
Before retirement, he was the owner of Sun & Fun Pool & Patio in Stuart and spent many years in the retail clothing business.
He was a member of the Martin County Golf & Country Club and attended All Saints Episcopal Church.
Survivors include his sons, Blake Pridgen of Corpus Christi, Texas, Wade Pridgen and Lance Pridgen, both of Port St. Lucie; three grandchildren; and one step-grandchild.
He was preceded by his wife, Lois Pridgen; and a brother.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Foundation, c/o Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201 Indian St., Stuart, FL 34997.
