JAMES MARSHALL FRIGGEL, 68, of Broken Arrow, OK, the father of Billy Lee Friggle of Drumright, OK, was given funeral services Monday, January 13, 1964, in the First Methodist Church of Broken Arrow. Burial was in the Park Grove Cemetery in Broken Arrow, with Masonic rites conducted at the graveside. An independent oil producer, Mr. Friggel died Friday morning, January 10, 1964, in St. Francis Hospital, Tulsa, OK, where he had been hospitalized for the past month. A native of Pennsylvania, Mr. Friggel was born near Oil City on August 4, 1894, a son of James and Anna Seth Friggel. He was residing in Rouseville when he married Carrie Mable Boyer on February 12, 1916 at Franklin. Mr. Friggel and his new bride moved to Broken Arrow in 1916 shortly after their marriage. He had been a member of the Broken Arrow school board for 29 years, was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Methodist church. Survivors, in addition to his wife Carrie and son Billy Lee Friggle, are another son and five daughters, 19 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a number of brothers and sisters still living in Pennsylvania. His children are Lucille Mayfield of Ashland, NE, Arlene Jackson of San Pablo, CA, Jean Linell of Broken Arrow, Lois Peterson of Prairie Village, KS, Dorothy Friggel of the home, John Marshall Friggel of Broken Arrow and Billy Lee Friggle of Drumright. One son, James Fremont Friggel, preceeding him in death.
