After an illness of several months with heart trouble, Mrs. Zeph Bevans, passed away at her home in the south part of town Wednesday evening of last week at the age of 37 years, 8 months and 8 days….Adaline Edith Harris was born in Taylor co., Iowa, July 9, 1871, and married Zeph Bevans, April, 1893 - to this union were born five children, four boys and one girl - all of whom together with their father and other relatives are left to morn the loss of a loved one. The oldest son, John, who has employment on a farm near Eldora, Iowa…. Mrs Emma Thompson of Oregon, Missouri, sister of the deceased took the youngest child a boy of less then three years of age, home with her and will care for him. R. Harris of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, brother of the deceased also attended the funeral.
