JOSEPH A. HAWKINS DEAD
Fair Haven Man Died Monday at the Long Branch Hospital Joseph Alfred Throckmorton Hawkins of Fair Haven died of stomach trouble Monday at the Long Branch hospital. He had been in poor health the past three years. Mr. Hawkins was 53 years old and was the son of the late Bridget and Patrick Hawkins. He leaves a widow Carrie, and four sons and five daughters. The children are Mrs. Mildred Ring and Carrie, Madeline, Florence, Alfred and Victor Hawkins of Fair Haven; Edward Hawkins of Rumson and Mrs. Jerry Applegate and
Royal Hawkins of Keansburg. Mr. Hawkins was a painter and paperhanger and he was secretary of the painters' local union. The funeral will be held at ten o'clock tomorrow morning at St. James's church and the burial will be at Mount Olivet cemetery.
Mr. Hawkins 's father, Patrick Hawkins, was for many years employed by Joseph A. Throckmorton at his lumber yards in Red Bank; and Patrick Hawkins named his first born after Mr. Throckmorton as a compliment to his employer.
