Vernis Reynolds Haight, 91, of Salt Lake City, died September 30, 1996.
Born August 2, 1905 in Ammon, Idaho to Thomas and Hannah Clegg Reynolds. Married John Floyd Haight July 18, 1921 in Twin Falls, Idaho; marriage solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in 1972. She was an active member of the LDS Church, having served in the Primary and Relief Society. As a member of the Relief Society presidency, she worked on many welfare projects.Survived by sister, Luella Dahlquist, Citrus Heights, Calif.; her children and their spouses, Jack F. and Betty Haight, Pasco, Wash.; Delbert L. and Annette Haight, Bountiful; Henry Eugene Groves, Kearns; Berneda Haight, Kearns; Geri and Dave Ballard, West Valley; 22 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; many great great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Jack; son, Orlen Jay Haight; daughter, Belva L. Groves; five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, 11 a.m., at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, where friends may call Friday, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
