Funeral service for Barbara A. Gillespie, 68, of Danville will be today, December 21, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Francis Proctor officiating. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery in Speake.

Mrs. Gillespie, who died Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at Lawrence County Medical Center, was born September 2, 1944, in Morgan County to J.D. Brown and Ora Lee Hill Brown. She was a longtime member of Southwest Baptist Church in Hartselle and Wear Baptist Church in Moulton. Her father preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Bobby L. Gillespie; one son, Christopher L. Gillespie and daughter-in-law,(Karen) of Gardendale; mother, Ora Lee Hill Brown of Danville; one sister, Faye Alexander of Bridgeport; and two grandchildren, Noah Gillespie and Kira Gillespie.

Pallbearers will be Gayno Gillespie, O.Z. Gillespie, Billy Gillespie, Kenny Gillespie, Ronnie Hambrick and Victor Millwood.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation .
