MARION, Ohio - Agnes M. Emigh, 85, of Marion, Ohio, and formerly of Lanse, Turtle Creek, and Sun City, Ariz., died Wednesday, March 30, 1994, at the Marion General Hospital at 8:50 a.m.

Born Jan. 2, 1909, she was the daughter of Charles A., and Amelia (Frendberg) Carlson.

She was a graduate of and a retired teacher from the Cooper Township School. She also attended the Lock Haven State Teachers College. She was a member of the Shepherd of the Desert Lutheran Church, Sun City, Ariz.; St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Marion Ohio; and the Turtle Creek Lutheran Church, where she was active in church and women's groups, and taught Sunday School for 25 years.

She is survived by a son, Carl Maxwell Emigh of Marion, Ohio; one sister and one brother, Mrs. Mildred Johnson of Lanse, and Carl Carlson of Williamson, N.Y.; and three grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Maxwell C. Emigh, whom she married in Grassflat on June 15, 1934, and who died Dec. 8,1972.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and one sister.

Funeral services will be held at the Dahlgren and Gilham Funeral Home, Philipsburg, Saturday at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Thomas Bruner officiating.

Interment will be at the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.

Friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Saturday until the hour of services at the funeral home.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to any of the following: The American Heart Association, The Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Lanse, or the American Cancer Society.
