Van Wagoner Rites Set
Funeral services for Earl Van Wagoner, manager of the Federal Trade Commission's western office here, will be held tomorrow in Palo Alto. Mr. Van Wagoner, 62, died Sunday night at his home there at 787 Southampton Rd. A native of Provo, Utah, and a graduate of Georgetown University, Mr. Van Wagoner came here as an FTC attorney in 1953 and became manager two years later. Earlier he had been successively secretary to Senator Reed Smoot of Utah; a lawyer in private practice in Washington, D.C.; a Treasury attorney, and an FBI special agent. He was active in the Palo Alto Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. A son, Charles, is a missionary for the church in Austria. Other survivors are his widow, Elizabeth; two other sons, Earl Jr. and Stewart, and a daughter, Mrs. Daniel R. Allen, all of Palo Alto. Funeral services will com mence at the Palo Alto Ward at 1 p.m. tomorrow, with interment in Greenlawn Cemetery in Colma. Arrangements are being made by the Roller & Hapgood Mortuary at 980 Mid dleficld Rd., Palo Alto.
