Mrs. Lizzie B. Dawson, 92 of the Midway Community of Dunn died Sunday evening at her residence after an extended illness. She was born October 29, 1920 in Person County, daughter of the late Nash and Elizabeth Featherstone Winstead. Mrs. Dawson was a former secretary at the First Baptist Church of Dunn. She was predeceased by her husband; Norvel Dawson and a grandson; Alan Dawson.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Shady Grove OFWB Church with Rev. Stephen Prescott officiating. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery.

Surviving are a daughter Patricia Kachel and her husband John of Dunn, a son: Donald Keith Dawson and wife Sue of Spartanburg, SC, a sister; Jean W. Davis of Leasburg. Five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. at Shady Grove OFWB Church.
