Alma was born on May 21, 1915 in Biloxi, Mississippi to Lazarus Quave and Alena Boney. She married Louis Lester Bessetti Sr. (1919-1974), a native of Pennsylvania, in Harrison County, Mississippi on June 2, 1942. Lester preceded her in death passing on June 22, 1974. Betty Ann Bessetti (1947-1968), a daughter, also died before her mother.(Harrison Co., Mississippi MRB 55, p. 464)
Mrs. Bessetti had been a lifelong resident of the Coast and worshiped at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in North Biloxi.
Alma was survived by Louis L. Bessetti Jr. (1950-2010),a son; two daughters, Mary A. Bessetti m. Barney L. Fischer, Ocean Springs and Donna Bessetti, Biloxi; three brothers, Russell Quave (1926-2004); Raymond Quave (1926-1999); and Roy Quave (1910-1993), all of Biloxi; two sisters, Velma Williams and Eva Williams, both of Biloxi; and three grandchildren.
Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home of Biloxi directed the funeral of Mrs. Bessetti which included a rosary and Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church prior to her internment in Swetman Memorial garden in North Biloxi.
