Lloyd Augustin, aged 20 years son of Joe Augustin living on the Julius Meyer place at Morrison was drowned in Bailes creek, last Thursday. Coming home from making hay he took the team to the creek and plunging in himself for a cooling bath, he was seized with cramps and became helpless. The young son of Henry Frechmann who was present tried to reach him with a stick of wood but it being rotten, broke in his hands and he drowned before help could be summoned.
