Funeral services were held Friday at the home, a service following at Six Mile Grove Church for Malena O. Peterson, who passed away at the farm home east of the city Tuesday morning. She had been ill since early fall.

Mrs. Peterson was near her 77th birthday, which would have occurred on February 7th. She was born and reared on the farm where she has lived her life, the parents of pioneer parents residing there until each passed on and Mrs. Peterson and family kept the old home place in the Six Mile Grove Community.

The funeral services of the late Mrs. Malena Peterson, who passed away at her home east of town last Monday night, were held Friday afternoon at the Six Mile Grove church with Rev. Langehough officiating. Burial was made in the family lot in the Six Mile Grove cemetery.
