MIDLAND — Mrs. Margaret M. Campbell, 56, of here, died yesterday at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland. A native of Frostburg, she was a daughter of Mrs. Anne (Johnston) Adams and the late David P. Adams. Her first husband, George (Peanuts) Hersick, preceded her in death. Mrs. Campbell was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and sodality and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Midland Volunteer Fire Department and American Legion. Surviving, in addition to her mother, are her husband, Edwin Campbell; four daughters, Mrs. Patricia Atkinson, here; Mrs. Margaret Snyder, Frostburg; Mrs. Susan Crawford, Lonaconing; Miss Mary Hersick, at home; four sons: Michael Hersick and James Hersick, both of here; two step-sons, Edward Campbell,and Vernon E. Campbell, both of here; two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Speir, Arlington, Va.;Mrs. Nancy Muir, Frostburg; four brothers, Harry Adams, Grantsville; William Adams,Mt. Savage; David Adams and James Adams, both of Frostburg; and 10 grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Eichhorn Funeral Home, Lonaconing, from 7 to 9 p.m.today and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a. m. Friday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Midland. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Denny Hamilton, Robert Turner, Don Parker, Harry Devlin, Dick Atkinson and Floyd Durst. The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society. The rosary will be recited at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow.
