Edwin Elzie Bowman, 75, of Poteau, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012 in Poteau. He was born on Jan. 15, 1937 in the Independence community near Heavener, was a retired truck driver for JOB Construction, was a veteran of the U.S. Army and attended the Church of Christ. Services are Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Dowden Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at the Hodgen Cemetery, under the direction of Dowden Funeral Home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mona "Hill" Bowman; parents Elzie and Eudena "Stacy" Bowman; and a brother, Bennie Bowman.
