Helen Perkins Kargle, 77, of Collinsburg, died Thursday, May 15, 2003, in her home. She was born Jan. 13, 1926, in McKeesport, a daughter of the late Jennie Backstrom Duerr Perkins and Cecil Perkins.

She was the loving wife of the late Ernest R. Kargle. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Edith Kargle Warden; and a brother-in-law, Joseph Kohley.

Loving mother of Karl Philipp Kargle of Pittsburgh and Terri Ann Rubosky and her husband, Michael, of Collinsburg; and loving grandmother of Dawn Michelle and Haley Nicole Rubosky of Collinsburg. Helen is also survived by a sister, Hazel Duerr Kohley of Collinsburg; a brother-in-law, Paul Warden; a niece, Joyce Kohley Antis; a great-niece and -nephew, Kerri Jo Bojorski and her husband, Robert, and David Antis and his wife, Kim; and a great-great-niece, Kimberly.

She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in West Newton.

Friends will be received at the RICHARD F. DODSON FUNERAL HOME, 213 Main St., West Newton, Sunday from 12 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held in the funeral home Monday at 10 a.m.

Interment will follow in West Newton Cemetery.
