Ogden – Jay M. Price, 89, of Ogden died Saturday, December 15, 2012 peacefully in his home of cancer.

He was born June 10, 1923 in Paris, Idaho a son of Vinnie Hymas and Matthew Gray Price. He started as a projectionist at a very young age, during the depression.

He joined the Navy and served his country from 1943 – 1945, as an Electrical Engineer. All the while he kept his passion for movies, projecting at several Ogden movie theaters.

Jay enjoyed dining at all the local restaurants and charming the waitress' who knew him by name.

Jay was an avid member of the LDS Church.

He is survived by one grandson, Kelly Gene Stewart (and his father, Michael E. Stewart); one great-granddaughter, Raven J. Thomas-Stewart; a brother, Rod Price; a sister, Norma Hansen; his cousin, J.R. Price and his wife, Mary Anna and a step-daughter, Brianna Beckstrand.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Regan Jae Stewart; mother, Vinnie Hymas and a nephew, Matthew Allen Price.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, December 21, 2012 at the Orchard Park 1st Ward, 3270 Orchard Avenue, where friends may call from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.

Burial will take place in Paris, ID.
