Mrs. Katie Evans, 73, of 26 N. Hand Street, Tower City, wife of David Evans, died early Wednesday morning at her home.

Mrs. Evans was a native of Pitman, a daughter of the late Felix and Lydia Oxenrider Kiehl.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Tower City.

Surviving are her husband; three daughters: Mrs. Jean Frank of Millersburg; Mrs. Mae Ruch of Williamstown; Miss Margaret Evans, at home; seven sons: Arthur , of Jonestown, R. D.; Joseph, of Schuylkill Haven; Ray, with the Air Force at Okinawa; John, of Geneva, Ill.; David, of Camp Hill; Wilmer, serving aboard the USS Saratoga, and Dean, of Williamstown; also 12 grandchildren.

Funeral on Saturday afternoon from the Stewart Dreisigacker Funeral Home at Tower City. Further services will be held in St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Tower City. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Tower City. The Rev. Ralph Sell, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, will officiate at the services.
