RINGGOLD, GA - Lois Gray Akers Oglesby, 90, passed away Sunday, December 16, 2012.
A resident of the Catoosa County area for the past 60 years, she was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Oglesby Sr.; son, Ross Oglesby; sister, Avis Akers and brothers, Emmons, Riley, Oza, Ires, Shelby and Carl Akers.
She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Marty and Robin Lee Oglesby, of Ringgold, GA, and Oscar Oglesby Jr., of Cloudland, GA; two sisters, Veola Robertson of Mount Juliet, TN, and Joyce Warren of Bethany, OK; sister-in-law, Helen Akers, of Ringgold, GA; granddaughter, Mary Oglesby, of Illinois; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel.
Interment will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.
The family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. t oday and Wednesday until funeral time at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home Wallis-Stewart Chapel Ringgold, GA.
