William Blair Sr. (born 1793 Virginia-died Washington County, Arkansas) moved from Washington County, Virginia to Caldwell, Missouri by 1850 ( I suspect that he moved about 1848). He brought with him, his wife Sarah (Goff), daughter Ellen Susannah, and son John Elmer. Other issues who came with their spouses were Mary Ann (who married John Crabtree Shaffer) and Sarah (who married William Glenn). William P., Sr. received a land grant for SE 1/4, NW 1/4 S. 24, Twp. 55, R. 29 in Caldwell County, Missouri. By the mid 1860's both William and John Elmer moved to Webster County, Missouri and then to Washington County, Arkansas.
His other son, William P., Jr moved to Lee County, Virginia by 1850 and then to Greene County, Missouri in 1853. William P., Jr's wife's (Mary Ann Smith) brother moved to Caldwell County also.
William P. Blair, Sr. was a farmer and wagoner.
