Pauline Axtman of Bremerton Oct. 29, 1930 to Oct. 23, 2012
Pauline Axtman, 81, of Bremerton died Tuesday at Bremerton Health and Rehabilitation. She was born in Selz, North Dakota to Jacob and Gertrude Selzler and educated in North Dakota. On October 18, 1948 Pauline married Fred Axtman of Bremerton in Selz, North Dakota.
The couple worked as farmers in North Dakota for 20 years, then owned and operated a laundromat in Bremerton for 16 years. They also owned and operated a fabric shop and Pauline operated her own interior decorating business.
Pauline loved to travel and entertain. She also enjoyed bowling, reading and card games. Pauline was an active member of YLI and Our LADY Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Bremerton and was instrumental in promoting the SCOPE Auction for Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church.
Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Fred, her brother Steve and five sisters, Caroline, Barbara, Leona, Lorraine and Victoria.
A rosary will be said at 10:30 AM Wednesday October 31st at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Bremerton, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial there at 11 AM and a reception in the church basement. A graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Bremerton.
