Caroline Platt of Athens Found Dead in Bed
Mrs. Caroline Platt, 62 of 707 N. River St. Athens
died at her home suddenly this morning, death
apparently being a heart attack suffered while
she slept. She was found in bed by her daughter.
Her husband, Floyd L. Platt died Jan. 31 of this year.
She is survived by eight daughters Mrs. Theodore Williams of Milan, Mrs. Kenneth Whitbeck of Sayre, Mrs. Robert Hitchcock of Elmira, Mrs. Jessie Spencer of Sayre, Mrs. Charles Wood, of Sayre, Mrs. Joseph Carnrike of Sayre, Mrs. Robert Stevens, of Canton, and Mrs. Floyd Pond of Athens: Four sons George of Greene's Landing, Leon of Syracuse, joseph of Athens, and Stanley of Waverly.
a brother Paul Hardenstine of Elmira; five Sisters, Mrs. Edith Larabee of St. Petersburg, Fla., Mrs. Ida Wells of Towanda, Mrs. Laddie Johnson of Wysox, Mrs. Evelyn Mims of Missouri and Mrs. Aretta Baker of Elmira: 53 Grandchildren: Four Great Grandchildren and several Nieces and Nephews. She was predeceased by her Husband, Son Alex, and a Daughter Dawn Spencer
The body was taken to the Lowery Funeral Home 225 S. Main St., Athens Fureal Arrangements are incomplete.
