Born June 4, 1969 in Bloomington he was the son of James Ray and Kathy (Chandler) Malicoat.
He was employed at Turned Products in bloomington.
Survivors include his wife, Kristi L. Malicoat, whom he married on January 28, 1988; a son, Kane Elric Malicoat, at home; his mother and stepfather, Kathy and Billy Algood of Spencer; grandparents, Don and Doris Malicoat of Spencer and Jerry Chandler of Gosport; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Rhonda Patterson of Unionville.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Ray Malicoat; and a grandmother, Beatrice Chandler.
