Obituary from Hazleton PA Plain Speaker, Fri. May 27, 1938
Elmer E. Dakin, retired businessman and one of Scranton's best known residents, died at the Hahneman Hospital in Philadelphia, on Wednesday morning, folowing an operation. Mr. Dakin was well known here through his association with the DuPont Powder Co., whom he served as superintendent for a number of years. He is survived by his wife. The deceased is an uncle of Al Reedy, local Nash salesman. The funeral will be held on Saturday afternoon at his late home and interment will be made in Scranton.
