Funeral Services for Mr. Henry Martin Faler, 90, of Collins, were held Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins. Mr. Faler passed away Saturday, December 8, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.
Rev. Benjamin James Jr. officiated the services. Music was provided by Danny McDonald.
Interment was in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Collins with Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers Greg Faler, Vincent Faler, Fred Walters Jr., Greg Crosby, Randy Yates, and Lane Crosby.
Mr. Faler taught in the school system for many years before going to work with the Unemployment Commission where he worked for over thirty years. He served in the United States Army during World War II for which he was awarded the Bronze Star. Mr. Faler was one of the oldest members of the Salem Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Erma Jean Faler; his daughters, Carol Faler Walters and Jeanie Faler Demorvelle; and his grandson Anthony Faler.
Survivors include his son, John Faler (Rhonda) of Moselle; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
