He was cheesemaker at the Sanitary Dairy in Crookston for the past 2 years. Previous to that he was a cheesemaker at the Gentilly Dairy for 10-15 years.

Death cert states he was injured while falling over a milk vat at work. He then developed septic fever for 3 months, had an exploratory operation on April 10 1937 (exam negative), and died in June of abcess of the liver & peritonitis.

Brother of Rose (Benoit), Louis, Henry(twins), Albert, Leo, Art, Maurice, Amie, Leonard, John, Ernest.

Eli was originally buried in St Peter's Cemetery at Gentilly MN. His remains were transferred to Yakima, Washington 07/07/1988 by his wife Lucille (Scully) Chouinard.
