A former salesman for Montgomery and Crawford Hardware Company of Spartanburg, SC, Mr. Cannon was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival. He died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 1948, and funeral services were conducted at J. F. Floyd's Mortuary with interment in the Arcadia Cemetery. He was survived by his wife, Mrs. Daisy Cannon, four sons, Guy Arnold, John Arthur, Ernest Oliver and Stanley Ray Cannon, two daughters, Mrs. Daisy Viola Duncan and Mrs. Edith Brown, three brothers, Asa, Ernest and Roy Cannon, and 17 grandchildren. He was 59 years of age at his demise.
