Jenkins, Vadie Devine of Alcoa, died Saturday, November 16, 2002 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was of the Baptist Faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ishmael Lee Jenkins; sons, Benny Fred Jenkins and Dewey Frank Jenkins; granddaughter, Renee Haughpert; father, Jacob Houk Devine; mother, Arlie Devine; sister, Pearl Costner; brother, Reece Devine. Survivors include, sons & daughters-in-law, J. Will & Sue Jenkins of Madisonville and Leon & Catherine Jenkins of Ellejay, GA; son, Beecher Jenkins of Marietta, GA; daughters & sons-in- law, Joyce & Rev. James Beasley of Maryville, Bernice & Charles Hodges of Maryville, Shirley & Ronnie Finley of Maryville; fourteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; brother, James Cecil Devine of Lansing, IL; sisters, Earle Gentry of Madisonville, Marie Akins of Lenoir City, Mae and Creed Tallent of Chesterton, IN. Funeral service will be 8:00 p.m. Monday, November 18, 2002 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. James Beasley and Rev. Don Woody officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2002 at Grandview Mausoleum for the Entombment. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8: p.m. Monday at Smith Mortuary, Maryville
