Lucille Irene McCormick was born January 31, 1912 on the farm near White Lake, SD to John and Kate (Kremer) Wolfe. She grew up and attended school at White Lake. She was employed as a grocery store clerk for many years, wrote articles for the Aurora County Standard and did laundry at the Aurora-Brule Nursing Home for numerous years. On June 15, 1954 she married John "Buzz" McCormick at St. Peter's parish house in White Lake. They resided in White Lake their entire lives. They loved to go square dancing and going for drives to visit with their many friends. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. On April 17, 1999 she moved to the Aurora-Brule Nursing Home.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John in November, 1987 and three sisters.

Funeral services will be 10:30 am Wednesday at St. Peter's Catholic Church, White Lake. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 pm Tuesday at St. Peter's Catholic Church with a scripture service at 7:00 pm. Arrangements are under the direction of the Bittner Funeral Chapel, Mitchell.
