Dana M. Eldien, 32, of Cloquet died Thursday, June 15, 2000, in her parent's home in Esko from diabetes complications.
She was born Oct. 7, 1967, in Tokyo, Japan where her Dad was serving in the Air Force. She attended school in Taiwan, Indiana, Cloquet and Las Vegas, where she graduated from high school in 1986. Dana also completed training at The Lighthouse for the Blind in Duluth in 1998. Most recently she attended Fond Du Lac College in Cloquet.
Dana was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Cloquet and the Cloquet Area Cursillo Community.
Dana was preceded in death by her grandparents, Raymond and Margaret Eldien of Scanlon and Francis and Irene Austin of Utica, Mich.; and her special ''little dog'', Levi.
Dana is survived by her parents, Frank and Monica Eldien of Esko and Frances and Ben Surby of Las Vegas; brothers David (B.J.) of Del Rio, Texas, Terry (Michelle) of Fergus Falls, Minn., Erik Johnson of Reno, Nev., and Steven Eldien of Esko; sisters Sherry Matthews of Cloquet and Gena Johnson of Reno; a nephew, Hunter Eldien of Fergus Falls; nieces Janice and Jamie Matthews and Ashley Bottila of Cloquet.
Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. today in Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th. St. in Cloquet and from 10 until the 11 a.m. service Saturday in Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Cloquet. Pastor Dennis Morreim officiating. Interment in Maple Grove Cemetery in Cloquet. Arrangements by Northland Funeral Home, Cloquet.
