A native of Straban Twp., Adams County, she was a daughter of Mrs. Beuno O. (Taughinbaugh) Beamer of New Oxford, and the late Harmon H. Beamer. She was a member of St. Paul's "The Pines" Lutheran Church, and was president of it's Ladies' Aid Society. She served as superintendent and teacher in the Sunday School of the church for many years; was a treasurer of the Lutheran Churchwoman; was a member of the church choir and had supplied as an organist for some time. Also she had served as judge of elections in Straban Twp. for the last eight years and was a member of the New Chester Homemakers Club.
After attending the New Oxford schools, she graduated from Gettysburg High School in 1927, and from Shippensburg State College in 1929. She taught school in Adams County for a number of years, and was employed as a proof-reader in the Doubleday plant near Hanover.
Surviving are her mother, her husband; four children: Harman C. Millhimes, Harold R. Millhimes, Mrs. Arlan L. Reynolds, and Mrs. Thomas E. Fitting, all of New Oxford; six grandchildren; a brother: George W. Beamer of New Oxford.
Funeral services held at the Fred F. Feiser Funeral Home, New Oxford, with the Rev. Dr. M.R. Hamsher officiating. Interment will be in The Pine's Church Cemetery, near New Chester.
