Mrs. John H. Daniel, 69, of Marietta, Okla., a former local resident and sister of Mrs. E.S. Harvey of this city, died Tuesday morning, February 15, in Ardmore, Okla.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 17, at the East Side Baptist Church in Marietta, with the Rev. Steve Bell and the Rev. W.P. Rowland officiating. Following the services in Marietta, the body was brought to Shamrock and graveside rites conduced at the local cemetery at 10 a.m. Friday, February 18, with Richerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The former Miss Frances Ackley was born July 30, 1896, in Vernon, and was married to John H. Daniel at Lela in March of 1915. They resided in Shamrock until 1936, when they moved to Marietta. Mr. Daniel died August 7, 1947, and was returned to Shamrock where he was interred in the family plot of the local cemetery.
Mrs. Daniel was a life-time member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include: three sons, Jack Daniel of Torrance, Calif., Jim Daniel of Lometa, Calif., and Gene Daniel of Marietta, Okla.; four daughters, Mrs. Inez Chandler of Torrance, Calif., Mrs. Geneva Bursacano of Long Beach, Calif, Mrs. Christine Perry of Marietta, Okla., and Mrs. Annabelle Hamer of Dallas; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; a sister, Mrs. E.S. Harvey of Shamrock; and a brother, Russell Ackley of Coolidge, Arizona.
