Max Bussear, Lynn, Dies Of Battle Wounds.
Mrs. Doris Bussear of Lynn was notified by the War Department Sunday afternoon that her husband Sgt. Max Bussear, 22 years of age, died of wounds received in action in Germany, Nov. 19.
Sgt. Bussear was a member of the infantry and had been overseas since Sept. He entered the service Dec. 1,1942. He was the holder of the Good Conduct ribbon, sharpshooter medal and the expert infantry medal.
He was graduated from Spartanburg High School in 1941 and was married to Doris Betts in June of 1942.
Besides his wife he is survived by the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bussear; four sisters, Mrs. Irene Kelly, Mrs. Naomi Bone both of Winchester, Mrs. Wanita Thorton and Miss Maxine Bussear at home; three brothers, Sgt. Lanson Bussear, Patterson Field, Dayton, O., Raymond Bussear of Parker and Charles Bussear, Jr., Lynn.
