Freelove Seamans, daughter of James and Tabitha (Wood) Seamans, was born on 20 July 1724 in Swansea, Bristol County, Massachusetts Bay.

Freelove Seamans married Samuel Howland by Peres Bradford, Esq., on 17 April 1740 in Swansea, Bristol County, Massachusetts Bay.

Children of Samuel Howland and Freelove Seamans are as follows:
1. John Howland (1741)
2. Thomas Howland (1742 ‒ 1816)
3. Mary (Howland) Kimball (1745)
4. Tabitha (Howland) Hopkins (1746)
5. Samuel Howland, Jr. (1748)
6. Asahel Howland (abt. 1752 ‒ bef. 1797)
7. Caleb Howland (1758 ‒ 1833)
8. Freelove (Howland) Eldredge (1772 ‒ aft. 1850) [Tentative] [Possible speculative daughter of Samuel Howland, Jr. and Hannah Franklin.]

Freelove (Seamans) Howland was last mentioned on the deed record on 7 September 1779, but on 4 September 1797, she was not mentioned in the Glocester land record in Book 9, on page 514. She died sometime between 1779 and 1797. It is possible that she died in Scituate, Providence County, Rhode Island.

Her burial site is unknown. Even her husband, Samuel Howland's burial site is unknown.

She and her husband possibly were buried in Scituate, Rhode Island. However, their gravestones were weathered by the series of the storm and were lost into the ground, or they were probably destroyed by the creation of Scituate Reservoir that flooded much of town of Scituate.
