Rev. Amos Binney was the son of Spencer and Mary "Molly" (Jones) Binney. Caroline (Wilder) Binney was his 1st wife. They were married July 14, 1824. Caroline died August 12, 1847. Isabella (Hill) Binney Raymond was his 2nd wife. They were married October 10, 1848. Isabella died February 18, 1897. Rev. Binney was a minister in the New England Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church.
