George Clinton Sly, 59, resident of 206 Quandt, died October 14, 6:15 a.m. at his home after a long illness. He was born March 26, 1903 in Morriss, Ill., and was a retired salesman.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby Watson Sly of the home; three sons, Clinton of Stinnett, Texas, William of Rogers and Glen of Cushian, Okla.; one daughter, Mrs. Vernon (Nelda) Bilback of Escondido, Calif.; one step-son, Dayne Keck of Rogers; two step daughters, Mrs. Dale (Frances) Parsons of Springdale and Mrs. Stanley (Barbara) Couch of Little Rock; three brothers, William Sly of Yankton, S. D., Norton and Henry of Springfield, Mo.; four sisters, Mrs. Mable Belt of Bradford, Ill., Miss Maude Sly and Mrs. William O. Stanley, both of Erie, Kansas, and Mrs. Henry Brown of Kansas City, Mo.; 16 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Callison-Sisco Funeral chapel with Rev. Jack Porter officiating. Burial will be in the Friendship cemetery under the direction of Callison-Sisco.
