Susan M. Bloedorn, age 68, of Sheboygan, died unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon, December 11, 2012 at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center.

Susan was born October 5, 1944 in Winona, MN. Her family relocated to Georgia where she attended local schools before settling in the Sheboygan area.

On June 24, 1961 Sue and Eugene "Gene" Bloedorn were united in marriage at Grace Episcopal Church in Sheboygan.

For forty years Sue was employed by the Sheboygan Public School system, retiring in 2011 as head cook in food services.

Sue was a faithful member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Kohler. She loved working puzzles, including jigsaws and crosswords, as well as reading cookbooks and watching all kinds of sports with her husband, Gene. In past years she spent great times on annual trips to Northern Michigan with her family.

In addition to her husband, Gene, she is survived by three children, Bradley Bloedorn of Sheboygan, Jeffrey (Ruth) Bloedorn of Colgate, WI and Kim Bloedorn of Sheboygan; four grandchildren, Andrew, Eric, Brianna, and Justin Bloedorn; and other relatives and friends. She also is survived by her "honorary grandson and great-grandson", Mykal (Ari) and Karsyn Prath.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Mergener.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Ballhorn Funeral Chapels. Rev. Robert W. Steele, Pastor of Bethany Lutheran Church in Kohler, will officiate. Burial will follow at Wildwood Cemetery. A time of visitation and support will be held at Ballhorn Chapels from 12 Noon until the time of service.A memorial fund has been established in her name.

Sue's family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the First Responders and the wonderful staff in the ICU at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center for their excellent care and support.
