Her funeral will be graveside at Sharon Memorial Park in Charlotte at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, May 8, 2012. Born November 30, 1913, in Laurinburg, Scotland County, NC, she was the last surviving child of the late Walter David and Mary Flora Goins Kilpatrick of Charlotte. She was a teacher in Cabarrus County at Wincoff prior to her marriage to the late Davis Anderson Brooks. They were retired owners of Brooks Litho, commercial print shop.
