Edna G. Matthews Bungard, 90, formerly of Third Street, Moundsville, died Sunday at the Mound View Health Care Center. She was born on December 20, 1902, in Cameron, WV, the daughter of the late Luther A. and Mary Culley Matthews. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Moundsville, and was a 50 year member of the Lorrain Chapter #9, OES, Cameron.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Robert Bungard, in February, 1962; two sisters, Lala Hoft and Emma Matthews.
Survivors include two sons, Paul Richard Bungard, and Robert L. Bungard, both of Moundsville; four grandchildren, David R. Bungard, of Dunbar, WV, Lisa J. Carey, of Cincinnati, Ohio; Christopher Bungard, of San Antonio, TX, and Terri Mensching, of Ann Arbor, MI, and Krista Bungard, of San Antonio, TX.
The Family will receive friends on Tuesday and Wednesday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Grisell Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Wayland Taylor officiating. Interment in Halcyon Hills Memorial Park Cemetery, Sherrard.
