Mr. Victor M. Brown Jr., age 65, of Bay Springs Road in Warthen, died Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at his residence. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 14TH, at 2:00pm at the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Warthen with burial in the Washington County Memorial Gardens in Sandersville. Rev. Tim Powell and Rev. Jimmy Napier will officiate. Pallbearers will be Gary Wiley, George Cullens, Ron Waters, Jr., Kelly Collins, Freddie Cullens, Roy Avant, Mack Walters and Mike Abbott; and Honorary Pallbearers will be Frank Moye, Ronnie May, Joe Rossidivito, Buddy Hudson, David Ray and William Moats.
Mr. Brown was born in Washington County the son of the late Victor M. Brown, Sr. and the late Janet Bussell Brown. He was retired from the State of Georgia as an environmental specialist having worked with both the Jones and Twiggs County Health Departments. Mr. Brown was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church and the Tennille Masonic Lodge. He possessed a great love for hunting, sports and especially for his grandchildren.
Survivors are: his wife, Carolyn Howard Brown of Warthen; children, Tonya Armour McNure of Sandersville, Henry (Dana) Armour, Joey Armour and Vicki B. (Chad) Collins, all of Warthen and Chris (Michelle) Durden of Sandersville; ten grandchildren; and sisters, Nancy B. Baxley of Toomsboro and Starr B. (David) Smith of Savannah.
The family will be at the Brown residence, on Bay Springs Road in Warthen, and they will receive friends on Thursday from 5 to 7pm at the May and Smith Funeral Home.
